The accordion is a highly sophisticated instrument which gives you a variety to express yourself musically. The array of playable styles, rhythms and harmonies is nearly unlimited.
Since the accordion is a physically heavy instrument, and its weight is supported directly by the players chest, one focus of our lessons lies on correct body and hand posture. Our goal here is to prevent possible postural deformities and to achieve a flowing and trouble-free playing.
The accordion “breathes” and requires some expertise with the bellows. For that reason there should be a balance between the bellows and your own breathing.

In our accordion lessons we put an emphasis on the comprehension of sheet music through analysis and mental training. This is the foundation hands-on and free playing by heart and by ear.
First we deal with easier arrangements as backing groups for soloists and with note-for-note transcriptions of other instruments played on the accordion.
In addition, we teach fundamental knowledge in harmonics, specifically related to the accordion and its construction.
