Drum Lessons
in the area around Mannheim, Heidelberg, and Ludwigshafen

The objectives and main focuses of the drum lessons may vary decisively depending on age, musical experience, and ambition of the student.

For young beginners the imparting of knowledge and the fun making music have priority. The student learns all the basics concerning drumstick techniques, rhythmics, and reading music. After that, the student receives an overview of all the relevant styles. Your future band is already waiting for their new drummer.

For the more advanced musicians who already have some experience or even a professional skill level we provide a deeper insight into one or several of the following styles: Jazz, Rock, Pop, Afro-Cuban / Brazilian drumming, Funk, Big-Band, Drum 'n' Bass, Hip-Hop, House.

The syllabus for advanced learners also includes: stick technique, brush technique, reading music, rudiments, time playing, groove, sound, chart reading, playalongs, Soloing, applied Rudiments, linear playing, odd meters.
For some of these subjects we use own teaching material. We also have a comprehensive collection of text books and playalongs.

When it comes to our drum lessons the following aspects are of great importance for us: practicing correctly, drum tuning, basic music theory, music history, organology.
In addition, we do recordings on a regular basis. These recordings can then be reviewed together or simply burned on CD to have something to take home. Our in-house recording studio has all the equipment to meet even the highest professional standards.

We also offer a target oriented preparatory class for entrance exams to music colleges, the Pop Academy or similar institutions. For this purpose week end workshops for ear training and music theory take place in April and Mai.
