Florian Wehse
born October 28, 1979
Trumpet and flugelhorn instructor
At the age of 15 Florian became a stutent of Malte Burba for 5 years. He played in the natinel yout big band Rheinland-Pfalz (Landesjugend-Big Band Rheinland-Pfalz) and strated his jazz music studies in 2000 at the music department of the university of Mainz. His instructor there was Stefan Zimmermann. In 2002 he changed to the Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts.
He toured the United States, Korea, and several European countries as concert musician.
In 2002 he won the Newcomer Award in Darmastadt and the firs Mannheim Music Award with his band “Popgear”.
Florian Wehse is also a music instructor at the Jazz and Pop School Darmastadt.
Currently he is involved in the following music projects:
