Johannes Schaedlich

Johannes works is a bassist (contra bass and e-bass), composer and instructor. He pursues his professional career for over twenty years.
1964 first violin lessons, since 1972 e-bass (autodidactic)
Since 1978 lessons and workshops with instructors such as Adelhard Roidinger, Peter Bockius, Sigi Busch, Arild Andersen, Paul Imm
In 1980 beginning of Johannes academic studies with a major in contra bass in Karlsruhe and Mannheim (classical), jazz studies in Hamburg (pilot project popular music with S. Busch).
Since 1982 collaborations with Lee Konitz, Enrico Pieranunzi, Bobby Shew, Adam Nussbaum, Hal Galper, Doug Raney, Tony Lakatos, Keith Copeland, Louis Stewart, Phil Abraham, Glen Miller Big Band NL, Imre Köszegy, Pony Poindexter, Peter Kosch, Georg Ruby, Joe Haider, Wolfgang Lauth, Leszek Zadlo, Peter Decker, Gerd Dudek, Frank Wunsch, Zbigniew Namyslowski, Piotr Baron, John Stowell, Wolfgang Engstfeld, Francois Chassagnitte, Toumani Diabaté, Tomasz Szukalski, Habib Koité, Artur Dudkiewicz, Joe Gallardo, Christoph Spendel, Royce Campbell, Lauren Newton, Jeanette McLeod, Maria Joao, Özay etc.

1991 tour to Russia and Kyrgyzstan. 2003 tour for the Goethe-Institut through all countries of West Africa (from Senegal to Cameroon).
Nomination for the best foreign band at the newcomer contest of the Spanish JAZZALDIA-Festival in 1987
